Creativity begins with not knowing . . . inviting questions, allowing chaos, accepting confusion. Creative expression in psychotherapy emphasizes deep listening, attention to feeling-sensing, imagining new possibilities, making intuitive connections.
Process-Oriented Healing and Transformation
In the Imaginal Resonance art therapy process, mental images emerge spontaneously in conversation. Creative expression is the basis for a dialogue that leads to clarity and opportunity to make life changes, new choices, and actions. Imaginal-Resonance is a creative practice that aims to foster the relationship between imagination and whole-person development. Through this practice, individuals explore personal and transpersonal awareness of Self in the World, and build skills that support individual and relational development. Imaginal Resonance is a whole-person language of inquiry. To deepen one’s understanding and fluency in any language requires engagement and practice. Theoretical knowledge or passive exposure can't replace direct experience, tailored to individuals' needs and circumstances. Ongoing practice of mindfulness, mental imagery, and creative expression develops self-awareness and adds clarity to everyday experiences and their significance to your path in life. Individual and group counseling, guidance, and support of your practice are available by appointment. Contact Dr. Netzer to learn more about how imaginal resonance can shape your personal and professional development.
